Job Description

As a strategist in the property department, you will be responsible for the strategic part of the municipal council's assignment to provide suitable, sustainable, and cost-effective premises and housing to the committees. Your assignment ranges from identifying needs to deciding on solutions and handing over to project managers. Your work will, through both long- and short-term planning of the property and housing stock, enhance the committees' ability to focus on their core activities. This means you will contribute to finding solutions for how the operational premises' needs are met.

Your tasks include developing housing and premises supply plans that compile and analyze the municipality's needs and how they will be met. A significant part of the work involves driving investigations on how the need for housing and premises will be addressed, both in the short and long term. You will work closely with the relevant operations, the urban planning administration, and property owners.

The role focuses on working with special housing, which may include housing for the elderly, newly arrived individuals, and persons with disabilities. Premises related to these responsibilities may also be included, such as facilities for meeting points, offices, or labor market initiatives.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an academic education that the employer deems relevant for the position, which may include community planning, economics, or property management. The work requires good oral and written skills in Swedish.

We would like you to have experience in community planning, property issues, premises supply, or special housing. Experience working with data and maps in GIS systems is an advantage.

As a person, you are self-driven, organize your work, and advance your processes. You are strategic, think broadly, and can see the long-term consequences of your decisions. You work in a central role with a lot of collaboration, so the job suits you if you can cooperate and relate to others in a responsive and smooth manner.
