At the Education and Job Center in Uppsala, approximately 130 employees from the administration work, and 2000 adult students receive their education every day.

Job Description

As an administrator at the Education and Job Center, you are a key person in effectively managing our various administrative systems to support our core process of teaching, ensuring high quality. Your tasks may include student-related duties such as registering courses, course changes, interruptions, grades, sending invitations, and maintaining records. Your tasks may also involve supporting the school management in other administrative matters, including the registration of public documents, archiving, and disposal. It is important to be service-oriented and able to quickly adapt to different situations that may arise, as well as enjoy working with people. Even though you are responsible for one of the school's administrative areas, you are expected to collaborate with other administrators and have knowledge of all our administrative components to assist each other when needed. To work in adult education, which is a politically governed organization, it is important that you enjoy change, as the conditions governing the operations change over time. Your administrative competence is your most important asset, but since adult education has many students with a mother tongue other than Swedish, language skills can be an important asset.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a high school diploma or equivalent. It is advantageous if you have further education in administration and experience in administrative work within schools. If you have language skills beyond Swedish and English, it is a plus. We would like you to have knowledge of systems such as ISTa, Skola 24, Open 24, Heroma, Proceedo, DHS, KLS (quality management system). A requirement for the position is that you have experience in administrative work.

As a person, you easily adapt to changing circumstances. You can quickly change your perspective and approach. You see opportunities in changes. Furthermore, you work well with others. You relate to them in a responsive and smooth manner. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. Finally, you plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively. You set and maintain deadlines.
