The Strategic Operations Leader is responsible for Secure enablement of business unit’s strategy by enabling informed, prioritized decisions about consequences and execution. Lead Strategic Operations Reviews, define operational requirements for strategic initiatives, and manage the prioritized project list to ensure alignment with value and priorities. Identify and assess conflicts or impacts across multiple projects, providing leadership with essential insights for decision-making. Oversee organizational information and ensure execution follows agreed decisions. Supporting the development and continuous improvement of the business unit’s operations strategy.

This position reports to the and is part of the located in and will be an on-site role.

What you will do:

  • Secure initial assessments of operational requirements for Strategic Initiatives.
  • Own the Master Priority List for operational runways, including gatekeeping and clear prioritization.
  • Collaborate closely with the Strategic Innovation Leader and Product Planning and Executional leaders to secure harmonized runway priority and execution.
  • Support the continuous evolution and continuous improvement of the BU strategy. When required lead workstreams or part assessments.
  • Identify improvements and gaps in organizational executional processes and secure that these are executed on to their respective priority.
  • Collaborate closely with a wide network inside and adjacent to business unit, including but not limited to Runway leaders, Portfolio leaders, Business Unit leadership team, Finance team, Global Operations organization, Sourcing and Program management.

Who you are:

  • You hold an MSc in Engineering or possess equivalent qualifications.
  • You bring at least 5 years of leadership experience within manufacturing environments.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in process leadership and process governance roles.
  • You have led, or been a core team member of, at least two cross-functional projects over at least 2 years.
  • You have at least 2 years’ experience with capital expenditure (capex) investments in an operational setting, ideally within the chemical process or Life Science industries.
  • You demonstrate strong business acumen with a solid understanding of financial principles and reporting.
  • You have experience working with, and preferably leading, key LEAN or DBS (Danaher Business System) tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in English with excellent communication skills.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Maximum 25% of travel in certain periods. Travel is likely to be international, also outside Europe.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Bioprocess industry
  • Regulatory insight to GMP, ISO, REACh and SEVESO
  • People leader experience
  • Strategy work (planning, analysis, project leading, business development)
  • Proficient in Swedish
