Sports Developer

Welcome to the Culture, Sports and Leisure Administration. The administration consists of six departments. Four of the administration's departments are primarily responsible for the cultural committee's own operations: Uppsala Library, Uppsala Leisure, Uppsala Art and Cultural Heritage, and Uppsala Culture School. Two departments within the administration are secretariats that work directly on behalf of the administration's management and handle matters for the cultural committee as well as the sports and leisure committee.

Job Description

In the role of Sports Developer, you will collaborate with the sports associations and develop the conditions for good living environments where participation and dialogue are central. Prioritized sports policy issues include ensuring equal and equitable conditions within sports.

You will analyze the challenges and needs of sports and, together with the sports community, develop strategic measures within the sports area for increased goal achievement, where the overarching goal is to promote sports throughout life! You will also be responsible for monitoring assignment agreements and environmental scanning within the sports area with the aim of further strengthening the conditions and attractiveness of sports in a time when meaningful, active leisure may never have been more important.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a university or college degree in sports science, social science, public health, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. You should also have experience working with sports policy issues and good knowledge of the conditions for sports associations. A driver's license and good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form are required. It is advantageous if you also have experience working in public administration and have knowledge of systematic follow-up and goal work.

As a person, you are secure, stable, and have self-awareness, and can distinguish between personal and professional matters. You collaborate well with others and can relate to others in a responsive and flexible manner. The role also requires you to work with complex issues, analyze, and work in a structured way where you plan and prioritize your work effectively and meet deadlines. You work towards goals and focus on results, and you have the ability to change your direction if the goals change.
