Job Responsibilities
Operational HR is part of the department's support activities, providing service and support to the core activities in the areas of finance, HR, communication, and educational administration. The support team currently consists of 25 employees, of which 3 work within the HR function.
An important part of the work as an HR generalist is to continuously provide consultative and service-oriented support to department management, heads of divisions, and employees on matters concerning the entire HR area. You will handle, investigate, and drive cases independently and together with colleagues in the HR group. The position involves close collaboration with the department's division heads, employees, and other colleagues within the administrative support group.
The role includes, among other things, following up on employment, working with recruitment, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and agreements. It also involves following and applying the regulations for employment conditions within the public sector and maintaining contact with other relevant authorities. The role also includes providing advice and assistance in recruitment and staffing issues, managing employment and termination of employment, as well as monitoring leave and sick leave. You will assist in rehabilitation cases and conflict management, and provide support in cases of inappropriate behavior or workplace-related conflicts. Additionally, advising and supporting investigations of incidents and work-related injuries, as well as in redundancy cases and in connection with information and negotiations with employee organizations, are part of the role. The role also includes managing international assignments.
HR administrative tasks, such as administering and preparing hourly compensation and one-time payments, managing employment and termination of employment, for example, notifications/warnings, as well as issuing certificates, are also part of the job. Other administrative tasks may be added.
As an HR generalist, you contribute to the development of new work routines and a good working environment, both within your own work group and at the department as a whole. Many of the employees are non-Swedish speakers, and communication occurs in both Swedish and English.
Qualifications
Human resource professionals with a university degree or equivalent and documented experience of broad HR work. Experience in contract interpretation, labor law, and occupational health issues. Very good communicative and pedagogical skills in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing, as well as very good knowledge of the Office suite.
We are looking for someone with personal maturity, who is both meticulous and service-oriented, but who also has good collaboration skills, sound judgment, and great sensitivity in their work. It is also important that you have initiative and can drive issues independently, as well as being able to work in a structured and problem-solving manner across several parallel processes.
Desirable/meritorious
We would like you to have experience working in the higher education sector or other public sector organizations or authorities. It is also meritorious if you have knowledge of our administrative systems such as Primula, Varbi, Adato, etc. Experience working with URA agreements (international assignments) is also meritorious.

The position is permanent. The extent is full-time. A probationary period may apply. Start date as soon as possible, by agreement. Location: Uppsala
