Permanent position, 50%. Start date January 8, 2026.

Parkskolan is a municipal school that includes grades 4-9 and after-school activities for grades 4-6. The school has just over 350 students and is conveniently located within walking distance from Östersund city center, adjacent to a park-like area. At Parkskolan, we work daily to develop our operations through collegial learning and relational leadership. You will work with colleagues with broad expertise, where there are great opportunities for exchange and development.

We are currently seeking a teacher who will teach Spanish in grades 6-9. If you are qualified in other subjects, the position may be expanded to include mentorship.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Teaching certification according to Chapter 2, Section 16 of the Education Act and qualified in relevant subjects for grades 6-9, with pedagogical insight and familiarity with the school's mission and operations.
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Desirable

  • In addition to being qualified in Spanish, it is advantageous to be qualified in one of the following subjects: Swedish, Swedish as a second language, English, Mathematics.
  • Previous experience working as a teacher in schools.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Knowledge of the school's governing documents and the ability to implement them in daily work.

It is crucial that you can create good, safe relationships, set boundaries, and work independently and structured. At the same time, the position places high demands on collaboration skills, as it involves close cooperation with students, colleagues, and guardians.
