Strömsund Municipality's culture school currently has seven teachers and about 420 students in subject courses and additionally music play. We currently offer instruction in various instruments, singing, animation, music production, and dance. Together with our students, we are part of the municipality's cultural activities, providing our citizens with joy and a richer cultural life.

The geographical size of the municipality means that the position includes a lot of travel by car.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for someone who wants to help develop our dance activities for 7-19 year-olds. You will work together with other staff at the Culture School.

Your tasks will include:

• Independently plan and conduct your teaching
• Be able to meet students from different backgrounds and with different conditions
• Motivate, lead, and educate students in the magical world of dance
• Together with other staff, plan and implement various projects in the name of the Culture School

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an education in dance pedagogy or another equivalent qualification.

You should be self-driven, able to take initiative, and have a good ability to collaborate, as well as a strong interest in working with children and youth. Being comfortable in different genres is a big plus as we would like our students to try various styles of dance. If you also have knowledge of other cultural expressions, that is a bonus we would like to know more about.

Good computer skills are required for the job.

A valid driver's license (B) and access to your own car.
