Job Responsibilities

As a substitute with us, you work when temporary needs arise; this can range from single shifts during a week to slightly longer continuous substitutes at one of our units.

As a substitute, you collaborate with the entire preschool, actively and purposefully working to create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for our children.

The work involves both activities and teaching indoors and outdoors; we use nature as part of our work at preschool and try to encourage our children to move and explore. The work involves participating in and assisting in the planned teaching in preschool that follows the preschool curriculum and governing documents.

You should, with a good attitude, work to establish trusting relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues. Bring your curiosity and playfulness to work and contribute to a stimulating environment for all our children!

Qualifications

We prefer that you are a licensed preschool teacher, trained childcare worker at the high school level, or have another educational background that we consider equivalent. However, education is not a requirement for substitutes; what is important is that you are genuinely interested in working with children and are an open and cheerful person.

We consider it an advantage if you have experience from previous work in preschool, and since Bergs Municipality is a Sámi administrative municipality, familiarity with the South Sámi culture, traditions, and language is also advantageous. You need to have very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, and basic computer skills to facilitate the work.

Personal Qualities

As a person, we see that you are trustworthy and have a good approach towards both children, guardians, colleagues, and management. Your view of children aligns well with the values and intentions of the curriculum, along with having a general interest in children and their development. You are positive, creative, and flexible, and have an interest in developing the operation with the child at the center.

We place great importance on personal suitability in the recruitment of our substitutes.

To be considered as a substitute in any of our operations, you need to present a certificate from the criminal record register, which you can request from the police's website.
