We are looking for a class teacher primarily for grade 4, with an emphasis on qualifications in core subjects such as Swedish, math, and English, as well as sports and health. A part of the position may also involve work as a teacher in after-school care. The position currently encompasses 40-90% and may involve work in several classes at Aspås school.

The school is located close to nature with a rich outdoor environment. We place great importance on work related to safety and well-being, where values-based work is highly prioritized.

The Department of Education and Child Services has about 800 employees. The department's activities extend throughout the municipality and include preschool, primary school F-9, adapted primary school, after-school care, food and cleaning services, mother tongue, and library services.

A Day as a Teacher in Aspås, at School and in After-School Care

The position is part of a work team F-6 where after-school care and school collaborate and share a common responsibility for the students and their learning throughout the day.

The main task in the position is teaching in the school, but it may also involve work in after-school care. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the teaching, both in school and in the after-school care you are involved in.

Teaching and stimulating students based on municipal and national goals is the main task of the work. Inspiring, motivating, and sparking curiosity in students to seek the knowledge they need themselves is another important part of the job, as is supporting students in their personal development.

Other important tasks in the teaching profession include identifying developmental needs and driving the development of the activities towards established goals and contributing to the school's development. There are great opportunities for you to use your knowledge and experience to further develop the working methods of the activities together with your colleagues.

Your Competence

You have a teaching degree and certification with qualifications in Swedish, English, mathematics, and sports and health for grades 1–6. If you also have the qualifications to teach in after-school care, that is an advantage.

You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and can implement them in your daily work.

You represent the school's values.

Experience in NPF-secured teaching is an advantage.

Additional Information

The position is currently temporary until the end of the spring term but may transition into a permanent position next school year. The position is 40-90% with start date as agreed. The extent of the position is open for discussion and depends on the service basis and your competence and qualifications.
