Ängsmogården is located about 8 kilometers southeast of Östersund city center and has approximately 176 students in grades F-6. The school is situated close to an outdoor and forest area, making it easy to go on excursions with students. In winter, there are both ice rinks and ski trails nearby. In summer, the ice rink transforms into a football field. The school and after-school center have many opportunities to utilize several facilities for activities.
Our school is a workplace where we put the student in focus. Everyone should feel involved, responsible, respected, and safe. At Ängsmogården, we have a positive view of students and high expectations. Collegial learning is central to the school where we learn from and with each other to develop the operations.

Your new job
As a special education teacher at Ängsmogården, you will work both individually, in groups, and in classes with students in need of extra adjustments and special support. You will collaborate with other staff at the school such as after-school teachers, subject teachers, and class teachers, as well as personnel in the student health team. You will contribute your special educational expertise by collaborating with students and staff. You will be part of a special education team and the student health team.
Common tasks
You actively contribute to the analysis and systematic development of the operations towards our goals of safety, well-being, and knowledge.
You provide knowledge about learning for students who need extra adjustments and special support.
Together with others in the student health team, you collaborate with staff, guardians, and external actors to ensure that all students have good conditions for learning.
Together with staff and others in the student health team, you remove obstacles in teaching and create a good learning environment.
Competencies
Requirements
- Licensed special education teacher.
- Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
- Computer skills.
- Good knowledge of the school’s governing documents and the ability to implement them in daily work.
Meritorious
- It is advantageous if you have worked with digital systems aimed at schools, e.g., IST, ProReNata.
- Previous experience as a special education teacher.
- Experience working with students with NPF.
