Åre Municipality is a Sami administrative municipality, and we welcome applicants who have linguistic and cultural knowledge of Sami.

Our school is located in a mountain-adjacent environment in Undersåker and is a primary school (grades F-6) with about 200 students, of which approximately 130 attend our after-school program. We offer you, as an applicant, a well-functioning school where teachers thrive and collaborate well. The school has been expanded with new fine facilities for the 2023/2024 school year and works with outdoor pedagogy.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for substitute teachers for the upcoming school year, both in our after-school program and as teacher substitutes. As a substitute, you will receive varying assignments based on needs that arise spontaneously or during planned absences of staff. We have a substitute coordinator who organizes all substitute assignments. Before each week, you can decide which days you are available for work. You can also express preferences regarding the ages/assignments you would prefer to work with.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Teaching certification or other education that the employer deems relevant (e.g., social worker or behavioral scientist) and experience working with students in need of special support. (Meritorious)

As a person, you work according to a clear process, organize and plan your work well, complete what you start, and meet deadlines. You handle stress constructively, maintain a good mood under pressure and adversity. You easily empathize with others, listen, understand, and show consideration. You can adapt and find win-win solutions through an unpretentious focus on the common goal.
