The Department of Children and Education has about 800 employees. The department's activities extend across the entire municipality and include preschool, primary school F-9, adapted primary school, after-school care, food and cleaning services, mother tongue education, and library services. We have 16 primary schools in the municipality with 10 principals and 3 vice-principals within the school.

Alongside teaching as a teacher, you, as a lead teacher, will drive a systematic development effort for students' increased goal achievement together with the principal and other staff. You will also be part of the municipality's network of lead teachers and have a role in planning and leading sustainable and long-term development work towards increased teaching quality in all of the municipality's schools.

The expected effects of your assignment are that, based on research and proven experience, it will contribute to the dissemination of increased teaching quality at both unit and municipal levels and thereby support the work of increasing equity within and between schools (read more in the application form or in the advertisement on the municipality's website). Your assignment will be continuously followed up and evaluated to achieve set goals.

Common tasks for all lead teachers in the municipality

Lead teachers are tasked with leading collegial learning and promoting equitable teaching within and between schools in the municipality. The assignment includes planning, implementing, and evaluating development work within and between schools in the municipality. Lead teachers are expected to be positive role models and ambassadors for the school activities in Krokom municipality. Lead teachers are expected to act as secure mentors for successful development work.

Your qualifications

You are a teacher with a teaching license.

You have worked for at least four years in the profession.

Other information

The basis is a permanent employment as an educator in Krokom municipality at 100%. The appointment as a lead teacher in the respective principal area extends from 2026-08-16 to 2029-08-15. The assignment as a lead teacher is performed within existing working hours. The work is led by the respective principal. For the position as a lead teacher, you need to teach at least 50%.

The assignment as a lead teacher can be terminated earlier, by both the employer and the employee, with three months' notice.

A salary supplement of 5000 SEK per month is provided for the assignment as a lead teacher.
