About the position

The Data Center Management primarily encompasses two areas: management of data centers and technical premises, as well as responsibility for hardware and network installations in data halls and office environments. The management currently consists of a management leader and three installation technicians. As a project manager in data center management, you will act as a project manager or sub-project manager for smaller and larger projects within the management, as well as in larger overarching projects within Svenska kraftnät. #LI-DNI

As a project manager, you are expected to:

• Be operationally responsible for your project's timeline, budget, and results
• Develop requirements specifications and competence needs for the implementation of sub-projects
• Request and ensure resource needs for implementation
• Plan, follow up, and report progress to the main project manager, management leader, or steering group
• Collaborate and communicate with the business and stakeholders to identify needs and requirements
• Manage risks in projects according to Svenska kraftnät's routines
• Be responsible for the preparation of notification materials for areas and parts concerning IT and IT infrastructure
• Contribute with advice, support, and implementation of IT infrastructure in consultation with the builder and property owner where required
• Assist the procurement unit with knowledge and evaluation of bids
• Prioritize and make decisions, as well as lead the work towards planned orders, deliveries, and installations
• Be responsible for reviewing project documentation, sketches, and drawings for IT infrastructure, as well as providing feedback with any comments to the construction contractor's design team for technical premises
• Be responsible for handover to operations/line for Technical premises.

As a project manager, you will work closely with the management leader and installation technicians. You will also work broadly with many contact points within other units, departments, and divisions within Svenska kraftnät. Many projects are complex with many stakeholders.

About you

Required qualifications:

Furthermore, you have a degree in the IT field, such as electrical engineering, information technology, and/or telecommunications or equivalent competence acquired in another way that Svenska kraftnät assesses as equivalent. You also have:

• At least 8 years of experience in leadership positions as a manager, project manager, and/or sub-project manager
• At least 8 years of experience working with data halls and technical premises for IT environments
• Good expertise in the management's focus areas, data center infrastructure (UPS, backup power, and cooling) acquired through several years of work in these areas
• Experience working in security-classified operations
• Good understanding of how IT systems placed in data centers are structured and their dependencies on each other
• Experience in dialogue with authorities and supervisory bodies
• Worked in a leading role within an organization with high availability requirements and 24/7 operations
• Driver's license (B)
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English

We consider it an advantage if you have experience from the electricity and energy industry.
