Now you have the chance as we are looking for two Technical Specialists with different focuses!

The main task of the IT department is to provide IT services to the entire Police Authority. The IT department is an important part of crime prevention and law enforcement work, and IT is one of the most important tools for streamlining the police and increasing the quality of police work. The IT department develops and modernizes the police's IT, and the authority invests heavily in strengthening the department with new specialist competence and the latest technology for the benefit of citizens and employees in the police operations.

Police common systems are responsible for providing common IT capabilities and IT support used in several police areas such as systems for data analysis, data refinement, and GIS (geographic information systems). Police common systems are also responsible for the operation and lifecycle management of the police's integration platform, as well as for developing and managing applications/base systems and services that support operational, investigative, intelligence, forensic, and administrative systems with information or functionality. Police common systems are also responsible for developing mobile solutions for police operations.

Job Description

As a member of the Integration Group, you will work with the operation and management of the Police's integration platform, which enables the police's various applications to exchange information with each other or with external actors. One role will work long-term with system integration, while the other role will work with both system integration and gRPC. The work involves both internal and external actors.

On-call duty is included in the position.

Qualifications

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • Relevant post-secondary education in IT, or equivalent experience that the employer deems relevant.
  • Work experience in Linux environments and their operation in complex environments that the employer considers relevant
  • Experience in setting up system integrations on standard platforms that the employer deems relevant
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is meritorious if you also have:

  • Recent experience regarding the operation of integration platforms
  • Knowledge of PKI, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting languages
  • Experience working according to agile working methods
  • Experience with gRPC

Personal Qualities

The tasks require that you are responsible, structured, and engaged. You drive your work forward and are eager to develop and learn new things while sharing your expertise with others. We also see that you are used to and comfortable collaborating with colleagues from other technical areas. You have good communication skills and can express yourself in a pedagogical manner.
