Värnamo is a municipality with just over 34,000 inhabitants.

The Citizen Administration is one of the municipality's eight administrations and is now looking for a coordinator. The Citizen Administration consists of seven sections, where the Labor Market Unit is one section. Within the Labor Market Unit, there is also integration, where our mission is to settle newcomers and provide support in their integration into Swedish society. The section employs 16 staff members, including a unit manager, a team leader, 13 coordinators, and a business developer.

Responsibilities

As a coordinator in the Labor Market Unit, your main tasks will be to work with participants to create a meaningful action plan that leads to employment, studies, or appropriate support. We work based on Supported Employment, which is a structured method where you, as a coordinator, provide close support to both participants and employers in the process of finding, obtaining, and retaining a job. The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues within the section and administration. You will also collaborate extensively with other working groups and actors, both internally and externally. The job also includes having primary responsibility for one or more of our initiatives conducted in the Labor Market Unit. Examples of initiatives include job search and housing search courses, work training, internship coordination, settlement of newcomers, and advice on employment support. As a new employee, you will go through our introduction program and receive support from a mentor and colleagues.

Qualifications

You need to have a university degree, such as an occupational therapist, social worker, or behavioral scientist. (Experience with Supported Employment is an advantage.)
