OUR OPERATIONS IN SUPPORT AND CARE
As a summer substitute in Tranås municipality, you make a significant contribution and build valuable experience for future jobs. You will learn to take responsibility, enhance your ability to collaborate, and develop your approach towards people. In support and care, you work as a summer substitute with citizens affected by the Social Services Act (SoL) or the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). If you are interested in working in support and care this summer, you are welcome to submit your application.

PERSONAL ASSISTANCE
As a summer substitute in personal assistance, you work with citizens who have been granted help from an assistant at home. This may involve assistance and support with tasks that the person cannot perform themselves, such as personal hygiene, help during meals, assistance with dressing and undressing, as well as support in communicating with others. There may be some independent work and overnight shifts.

GROUP AND SERVICE HOUSING
In group housing, you work as a summer substitute in a living arrangement for individuals who have more extensive supervision and care needs. In service housing, you work as a summer substitute in a living arrangement for individuals who have some need for support but can also manage a lot on their own.

Both group and service housing consist of individual apartments with access to staff around the clock, as well as common areas.

SOCIAL PSYCHIATRY
In social psychiatry, there is an opportunity for you as a summer substitute to work for individuals residing in our special accommodations for mental disabilities or who need support at home, also known as housing support.

In accommodations for mental disabilities, staff is available around the clock. In housing support, services are based on needs, such as practicing household tasks like cooking or planning for contact or visits to authorities or healthcare. It is about supporting everyday activities in the community and not just in housing or at home.

QUALIFICATIONS
Before the summer, we are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in meeting people and helping them in their daily lives. Important qualities are customer service, flexibility, and responsibility.

The work may involve physically and mentally demanding tasks such as heavy lifting, solitary work, and shifts during evenings and nights. According to the Work Environment Act 5 chapter 3§ and AFS 2023:2 8 chapter, these tasks cannot be performed by minors, which is why we are looking for someone who is at least 18 years old.

Good knowledge of the Swedish language is a requirement.

There may be a requirement for a B driver's license (manual) in certain operations.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

We view it positively if you are a nursing assistant, or if you have an ongoing or completed high school education in care and support, but this is not a requirement. It is also positive if you have previous experience working in care and support, but even if you lack experience, you are welcome to apply.

WORKING HOURS
In support and care, there are flexible working hours; you can work days, evenings, nights, or weekends. In certain operations, there may be some solitary work, overnight shifts, on-call night, and awake night with citizens or residents.

EMPLOYMENT AND SALARY
Hourly employment with a schedule and guaranteed employment rate during one or two holiday periods.

The summer period is between weeks 25–32. The first holiday period falls between weeks 25-28 and the second between weeks 29-32. You can choose whether you want to work the first or second holiday period or the entire holiday period.

If you work both holiday periods, i.e., weeks 25-32 with a working rate of at least 80%, you have the opportunity for a bonus of 4000 SEK before tax. This will be paid out with the final salary.

Salary is discussed during the interview or when an offer of employment is made.
