About the parish and the region

Huskvarna Parish consists of Huskvarna and Hakarp parishes.

Approximately 25,000 people live in the parish, of whom over 10,000 are members.

We have around 75 employees working in parish activities, cemetery and property management, preschool, and operational support.

We work based on the vision of creating "Meaningful Encounters".

The parish's work is characterized by close cooperation with other societal actors, which contributes to the church having a strong platform in the city.

Huskvarna is beautifully located on the southern shore of Lake Vättern, with proximity to both scenic countryside and rapidly growing urban environments.

Huskvarna is part of Jönköping Municipality.

The Vättern region has a geographically favorable location, offering commuting distance to several other major cities.

About the position

The parish operates in a team-based organization. This position is part of the Huskvarna/Öxnehaga work team.

The parish is multicultural and wishes to focus particularly on work with children, families, and youth.

This means we are preparing to shape the church of the future where children and young people can meet in various communities and grow in their Christian faith.

We do this, among other things, through confirmation education and work with Young Leaders.

This position is part of the confirmation work team, which includes several experienced employees together with a large number of young leaders.

The position also involves contact with local schools.

Establishing natural relationships with people of different ages and cultural backgrounds is characteristic of you.

You enjoy working with children and young people.

You appreciate working together with colleagues while also being independent and driving the work forward.

You are engaged and creative, with a willingness to develop the parish's work.

You have good communication skills.

Taking responsibility and flexibility are given traits, and you can set boundaries.

Qualifications

• Ordained priest in the Church of Sweden
• Experience in parish work
• You express yourself well in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing
• Necessary IT skills

Other important information

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

You must have at least a B driver's license and access to your own car.

The position requires a clean criminal record certificate from the police.

Start date is by agreement.
