We are seeking an engaged Personal Assistant for a teenager with an acquired brain injury

We are currently looking for an engaged and reliable personal assistant for a teenager with an acquired brain injury. Following the injury, he is in a rehabilitation phase where much of daily life revolves around training, practicing, and gradually regaining abilities that were lost.

The work involves providing support throughout the day and contributing to a meaningful, secure, and active life. Rehabilitation is an important part of daily life, and as an assistant, you play a central role in supporting, motivating, and assisting with training and activities.

About the position

As a personal assistant, you will become an important support in the teenager's daily life. At present, he needs help with the entire execution of daily tasks. The work therefore involves both personal care and active participation in rehabilitative measures in everyday life.

You will work closely with the family and together with other assistants to create structure, security, and the best possible conditions for development.

Job duties may include:

• Personal care and hygiene
• Support during meals
• Assistance with transfers
• Accompanying on activities, training, and outings
• Support in communication and social situations
• Participating in and encouraging rehabilitative training and activities
• Contributing to a secure, structured, and developmental daily routine

We are looking for you who:

• Are calm, responsible, and empathetic, with a great sense of humor
• Have patience and the ability to work in a motivating way in a rehabilitative daily life
• Have good teamwork skills and are responsive
• Are engaged and motivated to work in a rehabilitative capacity, preferably with training experience
• Preferably have experience in personal assistance, healthcare, or rehabilitation
• Experience in rehabilitative work is highly meritorious and will carry significant weight in the selection process
• Have good Swedish speaking and comprehension skills
• Are non-smoking
• Note: A cat lives in the home

Working hours

Working hours may vary and include days, evenings, nights, and weekends depending on needs. These positions include sleeping on-call duties and may be scheduled as 24-hour shifts.
