Your new job

You will provide support to a wheelchair-bound man living alone in an apartment in the Huskvarna area. The citizen has muscular dystrophy, which includes impaired motor skills and muscle weakness, and moves independently using an electric wheelchair. The citizen primarily needs support in daily life, ranging from personal care such as dressing and undressing to toilet visits, showering, meal preparation, and practical household chores.

Another important part of the work is to sense and interpret the citizen's well-being, needs, and wishes, and then adapt your approach and daily planning accordingly. The work takes place both in the home and in other everyday environments where the citizen is present. A central starting point is the implementation plan, with the goal of making the citizen's existence more meaningful through motivation, activities, and participation in daily moments. You are also responsible for time registration in Phoniro and social documentation in Combine.

In this role, you will be in contact with colleagues, the manager, and above all, relatives. You will participate in workplace meetings every third week with the work group, a forum to ensure a high-quality operation and a good working environment.

Who are you?

You are a calm and stable person with a positive attitude. Since the work changes based on the citizen's needs, we value that you are attentive, patient, and flexible. We also believe that you enjoy working independently and are eager to take initiatives to create joy, security, and strength in the citizen's daily life. Collaboration comes naturally to you, and you have a pedagogical approach. Your personal maturity allows you to handle various situations safely and distinguish between the personal and the professional. We place great importance on personal suitability for the case!

Formal qualifications

We prefer that you have education as a personal assistant, assistant nurse, or childminder, or equivalent education. However, this is not a requirement. Experience in the disability field or psychiatry is an asset, as is experience in pedagogical work, service, or nursing. If you have previously worked with personal assistance, we see that as a big plus.

You need to master Swedish in speech, writing, and reading comprehension, as the work involves several communication channels, communication, and documentation. Furthermore, you need to be comfortable using digital tools as aids for documentation, time reporting, etc. Therefore, we view it positively if you bring this experience from previous jobs.

Good to know

The recruitment concerns a permanent full-time position with a start date according to agreement. Working hours are scheduled for day and evening shifts, both weekdays and weekends.

We are seeking a female personal assistant according to the citizen's wishes.

We work based on authority decisions, and joint planning for several citizens may occur.

We apply selection and interviews on an ongoing basis. Within the Personal Assistance area, we always apply a 6-month probationary period. An offer of employment in another case may become relevant.
