Job Description
Do you want to make a life-changing difference for vulnerable people? Then the job as a Treatment Assistant at SiS is a meaningful challenge. Your mission is to motivate our young people towards new and less risky ways of living. As a Treatment Assistant, you are employed to provide care and treatment. You contribute to ensuring that the routines on the ward function as intended. You play a major role in providing stability and security for our youths/clients, forming the foundation of daily life, including school attendance, cleaning, cooking, and more. You help maintain order and security at the institution according to our routines. Documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building safe relationships and contribute to ensuring our youths/clients receive the security and safety they need to break ingrained behaviors. Together with your team of engaged colleagues, such as treatment pedagogues and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Working hours are according to the night shift schedule.
As a new employee, you will undergo SiS basic training lasting 10 weeks. The training combines theory with a supervised introduction and prepares you for the treatment role within SiS operations.
Qualifications
Your personal suitability is the key to life-changing transformation. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a fundamentally positive view of people, great empathy, and the ability to build good relationships. You possess good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in stressful situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and are willing to share your knowledge with colleagues.
You must also have:
- At least a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or university college (KY/YH) or equivalent education. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area.*
- Class B driver's license
- Good Swedish in speech and writing
Merits if:
- Experience from client-facing positions at the Prison and Probation Service (Kriminalvården), e.g., as a prison officer
- Security guard training
- Experience from client-facing positions at the Swedish Migration Agency, e.g., as a handler at a detention center
- Experience working with our target group (e.g., addiction care, youth care, young boys, etc.)

*Exceptions to the requirement of at least two years of post-secondary education may be made in individual cases if there are special reasons according to Chapter 5, Section 4 of the Social Services Ordinance (2025:468).
Employment:
The position is a permanent full-time job starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement. Interviews and selection are conducted on an ongoing basis.
