Treatment Coordinator at SiS Youth Home Stigby
The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial problems and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse, across the country. With us at SiS, your work life will be an exciting challenge. Regardless of where in our organization you work, or what position you hold, you help create life-changing transformations.
SiS Youth Home Stigby on Visingsö has space for 35 young people and accepts non-compulsory school boys with psychosocial problems, criminality, and substance abuse. We are divided into a MBB department (reception and needs assessment), four treatment departments, and a discharge preparation department in Jönköping.
Job Description
Do you want to help create the life-changing difference for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment coordinator at SiS is a meaningful role. The starting point in our treatment work is to motivate people towards new and less destructive ways of living. You will work in a team of dedicated colleagues, and with your combined expertise, you have the opportunity to achieve good results. As a treatment coordinator, you will plan, implement, and follow up on program activities. You will conduct treatment conversations and have a particular responsibility for documentation and the forms and instruments used in treatment. You will collaborate with various functions regarding mapping, establishing, and following up on treatment plans. The role of treatment coordinator also includes an additional responsibility for mentoring new employees and interns. An important common mission for all employees is to contribute to creating a safe environment and ensuring that safety at the institution is maintained according to routines. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.
Our vision is to be a place for change, and this permeates our approach, our commitment, and our attitude.
Qualifications
Your personal suitability is key to life-changing transformation. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of people, are empathetic, and can build good relationships. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in pressured situations. You also have a good ability to collaborate with others and are happy to share your knowledge with colleagues. In your role as a treatment coordinator, you will have individual responsibility for several interventions in the treatment plan as well as responsibility in the department that requires experience and the ability to coordinate that work. You need to be able to plan and structure your work, work independently, and take your own initiatives. Since the treatment work is documented and discussed with several different actors, high demands are placed on good Swedish in both speech and writing.
You should also have:
- Relevant higher education, such as a social worker, social educator, or other health/behavioral science education, or post-secondary education such as treatment educator, with extensive experience in program activities.
- Experience in conducting motivational and treatment work individually and/or in groups.
- Good Swedish in speech and writing.
- Driver's license (B)
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
At SiS, we care about good employee relations. This means that you as an employee take responsibility for your work, contribute to development, and participate in good cooperation. Read more about our employee relations.
