JOB DESCRIPTION

In the role of Senior Social Worker within the investigation group, you will lead social workers who work with investigations and follow-ups of open interventions for children and young people aged 0-20 years, who for various reasons need support and protection from social services. There are three Senior Social Workers working with children and youth, and you will be part of a management group together with the unit manager.

You will coordinate daily work, prioritize and distribute cases, and provide support in more challenging cases. You will engage in method development and participate in introducing new employees. Together with the unit manager, you will share responsibility for participating in negotiations in administrative courts alongside legal counsel and presenting cases in the social welfare board together with case handlers.

In your work, you will be involved in quality assurance and ensure that we comply with applicable legislation, guidelines, and procedures, as well as report to and collaborate with the unit manager in ongoing improvement work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

• - a degree in social work
• - a valid driver's license (B)
• - a good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• - several years of experience in public authority work with children and youth
• - BBIC competence

Experience with network-based methods is an advantage.

The role requires good collaboration with other Senior Social Workers for both support and good cooperation.

You enjoy coaching others and have strategies and skills to meet different personality types in a workgroup. You are both a good listener and can also come to decisions.

We expect that you have a strong child perspective focused on the target group, where you promote the participation of children and parents throughout the case management process.
