Social Worker in Substance Abuse and Dependence
Jönköping Municipality is a large employer with hundreds of different job roles. We are growing in line with the development of the municipality with more residents, more housing, and a larger range of services. We are always on the lookout for new skills - employees with diverse backgrounds and experiences, united by the common drive to create a better municipality to visit, live, work, and reside in.
Do you have knowledge of harmful use and dependence, as well as experience as a social worker in the field? Do you enjoy a varied workday? Then you are the one we are looking for!
Your new job
The mission of the operation is to work with authority enforcement for adults with harmful use and dependence under the Social Services Act (SoL) and, in some cases, the Care of Abusers Act (LVM).
The reception works with counseling, inquiries, motivational work, receives new applications/reports, and assesses whether an investigation should be initiated. The reception's work also includes outreach work and close collaboration with other internal and external actors. The investigation group investigates and assesses the need for support measures and follows up on granted measures in individual cases. The goals for the operation include a mission to actively strengthen the individual's own resources and develop work regarding home-based solutions.
Your qualifications
We are looking for someone with a completed and approved degree in social work. You should have knowledge of current legislation. A B driver's license is a requirement for the position.
It is desirable if you have previous experience working as a social worker in authority enforcement, experience working with individuals with harmful use/dependence issues, and previous experience working with coercive legislation. For the position, it is an advantage if you have training in ASI, MI, and Combine.
We are looking for someone who is stable and structured. You should be able to organize and prioritize your work independently and have the ability to work towards set goals. Furthermore, we seek someone who has a good ability to work with complex issues and can express themselves clearly in both speech and writing in Swedish. The work is sometimes fast-paced and requires you to be able to make quick reprioritizations of your tasks, which demands resilience to stress. The position requires the ability to collaborate and create and maintain good contacts both internally and externally.
In the recruitment process, great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
We offer you
We offer you as an employee a 7-hour workday, where the work is scheduled during daytime from Monday to Friday, individual salary setting, supervision, and work in a team with engaged and knowledgeable colleagues. For us, you as an employee are important, and when you join us, you will receive an introduction and close support in your work from the management.
