Support Assistant for Disability Care in Habo Municipality

Habo Municipality is located in the southern Vätterbygden, one of the country's leading growth regions. The small municipality is close to the big city.

The Disability Care in Habo Municipality has two group homes, and we are now looking for a support assistant for one of them.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a support assistant, you provide support in the home and work with leisure activities, in a home environment and during activities.

You are a contact person for users within LSS with special needs, and we are looking for someone with knowledge, commitment, and interest in working in a group home for individuals with varying disabilities. The role of the support assistant involves motivating and empowering the user in their daily life based on individual needs, conditions, and wishes.

You will also work with care tasks and medical tasks delegated by a nurse.

The daily routine includes close collaboration with other support assistants, support pedagogues, and the unit manager, as well as other important individuals around the user. By contributing your knowledge and experience, you are also involved in the development of the unit's operations, where the user's needs are at the center. With us, users should receive support for their right to decide over their lives and develop their abilities to live as independently as possible.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a secondary education; nursing assistant, child and leisure studies, or equivalent education that the employer assesses as equivalent. We are looking for a person with a pedagogical approach, with values and quality that promote our users.

If you have experience with autism and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities, have worked with conversational support within AAC, or with clarifying structures, it is an advantage.

Valuable qualities include being attentive, alliance-building, and taking initiative. This means acting as a starter in the meeting with the user to then carry out activities together.

When filling the position, great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
