The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people and adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements secure youth care. We do this in youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse throughout the country. At SiS, your work life becomes an exciting challenge. SiS LVM Home Fortunagården receives women from the age of 18 with substance abuse and, in most cases, also mental health issues. We have 30 places, distributed across three departments. We are located in Värnamo in Småland.
Job Description
Do you want to help create the vital difference for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment assistant at SiS is a meaningful challenge. The goal of your assignment is to motivate our clients to new ways of living. As a treatment assistant, you ensure that the routines in the department function as they should. You play a significant role in the stability and security of our clients, and you are responsible for the foundation of daily life, such as scheduled activities, cleaning, cooking, and more. You contribute to maintaining the safety of the institution according to our routines, and documentation is an important part of your work. You will work on building secure relationships and help ensure that our clients receive the safety and security they need to break ingrained behaviors. Together with your team of dedicated colleagues, such as treatment pedagogues and treatment coordinators, you have the opportunity to achieve good results and contribute to change. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

The working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.
As a new employee, you will undergo SiS basic training for 10 weeks. The training combines theory with guided introduction and prepares you for the treatment role in SiS operations.
Qualifications
Your personal suitability is key to life-changing transformation. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to create engagement and participation. Equally important is that you have a solid positive view of people, great empathetic ability, and the ability to create good relationships. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in stressful situations. You also have the ability to collaborate with others and are happy to share your knowledge with colleagues.
You should also have:
- Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., in psychiatry, HVB operations, or care and support.
- B driver's license
- Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written
- At least a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational school or other education equivalent to this. The education should be focused on social work, social pedagogy, behavioral science, or another relevant subject area. (Exceptions to this requirement may be made in individual cases if there are special reasons)

Employment:
The position is a permanent full-time employment that begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.
