Do you have experience in developing learning in organizations, designing engaging and challenging training programs, and creating structures for knowledge exchange? Sida is looking for someone who wants to contribute to Sida's internal competence development and strengthen Swedish actors in international aid.

About the job

You will be involved in building a new unit at Sida, the Sida Competence Forum (KOMPETENS). The new unit is a merger of parts of other units and has a broad mandate to be a support resource for the entire agency regarding learning and competence development. The unit will work with Sida's experts to develop and implement internal and external training, as well as create platforms for collaboration and experience exchange. The target group mainly consists of professional staff at Sida and other actors in the aid sector.

Your role is to promote and represent evidence in learning and pedagogy, both in theory and practice. You will be a central force in implementing, further developing, and ensuring the quality of activities related to learning and competence development in accordance with research and proven experience.

You will help create both individual training events and structured learning processes that engage participants and are based on the overarching context of future aid. The aim is to work together with the operational units to promote the change work that Sida and other actors in the aid sector are facing. You will also be involved in the digitalization journey that Sida is undertaking and contribute to developing innovative models for digital learning and pedagogy. The role requires a candidate with documented good experience in similar tasks.

You will work at our office in Rissne Sundbyberg.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and quality assurance of Sida's training and competence development based on current evidence about learning in the workplace.
  • Develop and implement modern methods for learning and competence development – supported by digital tools and AI, but also through more traditional methods such as physical courses and platforms.
  • Provide pedagogical support and advice to colleagues at Sida regarding evidence and practice in learning and competence development.
  • Contribute to the agency's development as a learning organization, including work to implement and develop Sida's competence supply strategy.
  • Create engagement for learning and experience exchange within the aid sector.

Qualifications

Education

  • Academic degree in pedagogy and learning or another relevant field.

Language

  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Work experience and skills

  • Very good and documented experience in working with pedagogy and learning.
  • Good theoretical and practical knowledge of pedagogy, conditions for learning and competence development, as well as result- and employee-oriented change processes.
  • Experience in developing courses and platforms for learning and collaboration in a government agency or organization.
  • Experience in working with digital learning and the combination of digital and physical learning.
  • Experience working in low- and middle-income countries.

It is an advantage if you

  • Have very good experience using training and other learning methods within the framework of change projects.
  • Have very good experience facilitating various forms of processes, networks, and groups.
  • Have experience in international development cooperation.
  • Have experience organizing large events.
  • Hold a doctoral degree with a relevant focus for the position.

Good to know

The position is a permanent employment with immediate start. A probationary period applies.

Sida offers the possibility of remote work to some extent if it works for the organization.
