At the Swedish Migration Agency, we are working on one of the major societal issues of our time – migration. In total, we are about 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!
The Security Department of the Migration Agency is part of the head office and has overall responsibility for security and preparedness within the agency.
At the Security Department, specialists work with information security, physical security, personnel security, crisis preparedness and civil defense, internal investigations, employee protection, and other security issues covering the entire range from operational protection to security protection.
The office is now looking for a business developer. The office has tasks related to operational planning, processing order, preparation process, administration of the department's case management system, conducting investigations and other assignments, preparing decision-making materials for the department's managers, coordinating reporting, and writing referral responses. The office also has assignments related to security protection and is largely the entry point for external and internal inquiries to the department.
Main Responsibilities
As a business developer, you will become a key person in the department's development work, both in the long and short term. Your mission is to drive development that strengthens quality, structure, and innovation together with the operations. You will work closely with colleagues in the department as well as with the organization at large.
In your role, you are expected to capture the needs of the Security Department and translate them into concrete change activities. You will analyze the organization's processes, identify areas for development, and lead the work to develop new, more efficient, and sustainable working methods. You will facilitate dialogues and workshops, lead improvement projects, and engage the organization in change work. Quality and continuous improvement are central parts of the mission.
The work is characterized by a high pace, at times short deadlines, and a large variety of tasks. You create structure, identify areas for improvement, and conditions for participation, and actively contribute to a culture of responsibility and development.

You are self-driven and confident in yourself, demonstrating good judgment while creating engagement and building good collaborations. You have integrity and can balance important information and make decisions.
In our work as civil servants, high demands are also placed on good judgment and a high level of security and confidentiality awareness.
We are looking for someone who has:
- A university degree (at least 120 credits) in a relevant field or other education combined with relevant experience for the role
- Several years of experience working as a business developer
- Several years of experience in public operations, primarily government agencies
- Swedish citizenship
It is meritorious if you have:
- Understanding and knowledge of the Migration Agency's organization and mission
- Knowledge of and experience with the Migration Agency's internal processes
- Experience in work related to security and related legislation
- Experience in leading projects or development work

Security clearance with background checks according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) will be conducted. Based on this, there is a requirement for Swedish citizenship. Employment is contingent upon a successful security clearance.
