Traffic Planner for Lidingö Municipality
We belong to the Technical Administration, one of the six administrations in Lidingö Municipality. Approximately 40 people work with the management and development of municipal roads, parks, natural areas, waste, traffic, as well as water and sewage. We are also responsible for developing traffic and urban environments to create a safe, healthy, and attractive public environment in our beautiful archipelago municipality. In addition, we ensure that essential community functions operate, such as waste management and the operation of water and sewage systems. The administration also includes a project unit whose mission is to conduct all feasibility studies and implementation projects within the city.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Your work as a traffic planner involves:
- Analyzing action planning, developing action plans, and following up and evaluating implemented traffic measures, accident developments, or traffic measurements.

- Initiating and driving smaller traffic projects and being responsible for feasibility studies and investigations.
- Being a client in larger traffic projects led by the administration's project unit.
- Addressing traffic-related issues in the municipality's detailed planning work.
QUALIFICATIONS
We prefer that you have a community engagement where traffic is part of a larger context. We would like you to see the big picture while being able to delve into details. We also expect you to have good knowledge of traffic safety and a strong ability to independently develop feasibility studies and investigations as decision support for future measures.
You should have participated in street and traffic projects from early planning to implementation. Experience from working in a politically governed organization is seen as an advantage.
You express yourself well in speech and writing and can communicate and engage in dialogue in a trustworthy manner both internally within the city and externally with the residents of Lidingö. In your role, you are factual and base your work on accumulated knowledge in line with the city's planning direction. You have the ability to think innovatively and contribute new ideas that develop the operations.
Lidingö Municipality places great importance on your personal qualities. It is important that you can perform work independently but are also a contributing part of the administration's collective work.
