Unit's Mission

The Unit for Review and Control (EGK) is an operation within the Swedish Public Employment Service established to ensure a more legally secure, uniform, and efficient handling of control assignments. EGK currently has 203 control officers who compile and assess incoming signals to determine whether there are grounds to believe that job seekers are not adhering to the regulations for unemployment insurance or the regulations for compensation to participants in labor market policy measures.

Job Description

As an operations coordinator, you work on behalf of the section manager and the operational management team, where one of your primary tasks is to coordinate, structure, develop, and follow up on operations from both an operational and strategic perspective. You are responsible for supporting managers in their daily work by providing data and analyses. The focus of the assignment will be on quality monitoring, leading internal training, and coordinating issues related to methods, regulations, introduction, and support in case handling.

The work requires a structured approach. The ability to take initiative, prioritize, and plan is of great importance, as well as leading projects and being responsible for completing and delivering assignments on time.

The position is a permanent full-time employment that may begin with a six-month probationary period. The work location is Falun.

Basic Qualifications

  • 180 higher education credits with a focus on economics, organization, or political science, or relevant current experience in operational follow-up, project management, or leadership for at least six months.
  • Experience working with control operations within the Swedish Public Employment Service or other government operations.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, meaning a good ability to communicate in speech and writing, as well as high reading comprehension.
  • Good system knowledge, primarily in the Office suite.

Meritorious

  • Experience in operational follow-up.
  • Experience working with social and labor market issues.
  • Experience leading training sessions, work meetings, workshops, and similar meeting formats.
