The position is placed in the Development Unit for Psychiatry and Habilitation, which drives and coordinates development and quality work in close collaboration with the division's operations. The assignment is based on national guidelines, knowledge management, and government assignments to ensure evidence and common goals. After the reorganization in 2025, the connection between clinical work and development assignments has been strengthened - all employees work clinically alongside development assignments, which also applies to this position. By integrating development and administration into patient-centered work, the change work is based on actual needs. We also deepen collaboration with primary care to strengthen cohesive and needs-driven care processes.

We are looking for an engaged and strategic process leader to lead and coordinate the development of care processes within psychiatry at the divisional level. The goal is knowledge-based, equitable, and person-centered care with high quality and good accessibility. The role also involves developing collaboration within Region Mid-Sweden and supporting the national transition towards close care, where psychiatry continues to be responsible for complex conditions and consultative efforts.
Process Leader/Development Leader, Psychiatric Care Processes FalunJob ResponsibilitiesThe position is a two-year project employment placed at the divisional level within psychiatry and reports to the divisional management. The role involves close collaboration with operational managers, quality and development functions, as well as external partners, both within and outside Region Mid-Sweden. There may be an opportunity for permanent employment after the project employment ends, provided that necessary decisions are made. - Strategic development: Design, implement, and follow up care processes according to national guidelines, regional strategies, and divisional goals
- Coordination: Create a common structure for process development and ensure collaboration between different operational areas within psychiatry
- Improvement work: Initiate, lead, and follow up improvement projects related to care processes
- Knowledge and evidence: Ensure that care processes are designed in accordance with research and guidelines, while being strengthened by innovative working methods in Sweden - such as adjunct treatments, creative elements in care, and integrated collaboration between psychiatry and primary care
- Participation: Involve employees, patients, and relatives in the development of care processes to strengthen the user perspective
- Follow-up and reporting: Prepare decision-making materials, analyze data, and report to divisional management and other relevant forums
- Collaboration: Build networks and collaborate with other divisions, regions, and national actors - especially through the organized collaboration in Region Mid-Sweden
- Close care: Develop processes that clarify the division of responsibilities between primary care and psychiatry, strengthen continuity and accessibility, and facilitate co-created care plans. Partly clinical work
The job responsibilities lie within knowledge management and include active participation in LPO Mental Health as well as regular reporting to the divisional management to ensure coordination.
Other InformationQualificationsRequirements:
- Higher education in health and care, such as a doctor, nurse, psychologist, social worker, or equivalent relevant experience
- Documented experience in leadership, improvement work, and/or process development within healthcare
- Good knowledge of psychiatric operations, regulations, and care processes, including an understanding of national initiatives such as Close Care and its effects on psychiatry
Desirable:
- Experience in knowledge management and translating guidelines and care programs into practice
- Competence and interest in digital treatment forms, including an understanding of how e-health and digital tools can be used in psychiatric care processes
- Experience in change management and implementation

- Communicative and relationship-building, with the ability to engage and inspire
- Responsive and inclusive, with a focus on collaboration and participation
