Assistant Project Manager for Falun Borlänge Region
Falun Borlänge Regionen ABDalarnas län, Borlänge
Previous experience is desired
About the Falun Borlänge Region
Falun Borlänge-regionen AB is a municipally owned development company that works for a strong, sustainable, and attractive region. On behalf of our owner municipalities Borlänge, Falun, Gagnef, and Säter, we drive strategic projects and activities that strengthen the region's skills supply, support businesses, and contribute to ensuring that transport capacity in 'Sweden's waist' is high on the agenda. In addition to these, we also prepare decision-making materials and coordinate municipal joint initiatives – always in collaboration with our owners and with the region's best interests in focus.
About the Projects
Växtplats LSS started on September 1, 2024, and will run until August 31, 2027.
In the project, all 1,150 employees who provide support and care for people with disabilities in Falun, Borlänge, Gagnef, and Säter will be trained with the support of the national educational concept 'Yrkesresan'. The 'Yrkesresan Funktionshinder' training has been developed by SKR together with the National Board of Health and Welfare and is a digital learning platform that combines digital training with physical course sessions.
The project focuses on creating practical conditions for conducting the training while maintaining regular operations and making the training accessible to all employees.
Adcura – Yrkesresan Äldre aims to enable training for all 2,100 employees and managers in elderly care in Borlänge, Falun, Gagnef, and Säter. The project builds on the same learning platform and builds on experiences from the Växtplats LSS project. Unlike Växtplats LSS, Adcura is a national ESF project focused on disseminating gained experiences to other municipalities in the country.
Job Responsibilities
As an assistant project manager, you will support the project manager in planning, implementation, and follow-up of the projects while being responsible for your own sub-goals and activities within the projects. You will ensure that they are carried out according to the schedule and with good quality, which in this case means meeting the goal that all employees in the collaborating municipalities can participate on equal terms.
You will play a central role in the close collaboration with each municipality's sub-project manager. You will coordinate the project groups and lead them towards effective collaboration by motivating, supporting, and engaging in the common work towards the project goals outlined in the ESF application and decided by the steering group.
You will be part of the regional working groups for Yrkesresan Äldre and Funktionshinder, led by Region Dalarna. There, you will present feedback and requests from the group while receiving information for further dissemination to project employees in the collaborating municipalities.
The work will initially be operational, but the strategic work in collaboration with the project manager will increase over the course of the project. You will support the development of materials and have an external focus to contribute knowledge to the project team. You have an important task in supporting the sub-project managers and adapting support based on their specific conditions.
Qualifications
For this position, we place great emphasis on your personal qualities and your ability to be a flexible and solution-focused colleague in a fast-paced project organization. Since you will have experienced support from our project manager for Växtplats LSS, we see the opportunity to offer the position to you who have not yet taken on your own project but have the interest and commitment to quickly advance in your role.
We believe you have a genuine interest in coordinating, creating structures, and meeting the needs that arise during the project through attentiveness. You have a pronounced commitment to social issues and people's development and thrive in an environment where you can make a real difference by driving development work forward. You express yourself fluently in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and have a good ability to communicate with different target groups.
We prefer that you have a relevant university education or other qualifications and experience suitable for the position. It is advantageous if you have knowledge of or experience in the project's focus areas, the new social services act, and/or language support. Experience in project management or other development work within public operations is also considered an advantage. If you have also worked with EU-funded projects, that is an extra plus.
Other
The position is a three-year project employment starting on March 1, 2026 (or by agreement).
As you will be traveling a lot in your role, you need to have a driver's license and access to your own car.
Application
If you believe this position suits you, you are warmly welcome to submit your application. Send it by email to [email protected] no later than January 11.
