Business Developer

The Business and Communications Office is an operation within the municipal director's staff and is led by a head of operations. The operation is divided into units, business and communication.

The Business Office works to create good conditions for growth, a favorable business climate, and a vibrant city. We help create meeting places and initiate networks for better collaboration and knowledge exchange. We work with both strategic and operational efforts and are the entry point for all types of inquiries from businesses, organizations, and event organizers. We act as a gateway to other municipal operations and business-promoting actors.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a business developer with us, you will work both operationally and strategically to promote a favorable business climate, increased competitiveness, and sustainable growth. It should be easy for businesses to operate, grow, and develop here. The assignment is characterized by great variation, where you are expected to take on current projects in a humble manner.

You will monitor the external environment and be attentive to the needs within the business and association sectors and adapt your work accordingly. The position involves a broad network of contacts internally and externally, where you have the important task of creating and maintaining networks based on current development areas. You have great opportunities to influence your own assignment, and we welcome innovative thinking with open arms!

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is flexible, thrives in a changing environment, and has the ability to quickly adapt when circumstances change. You will have a broad network of contacts, and it is important that you enjoy social settings, are good at building relationships, and collaborating with various organizations. You have a good sense of service and understand the importance of prioritizing based on current needs.

You are innovative and development-oriented and see yourself as a team player who wants to contribute to the development of the entire group. You understand that unexpected things can happen, so it is important that you have a solution-focused approach and are not afraid to pitch in where needed!

You should preferably have experience in project management, networking, and/or advocacy work. You should have a high school diploma, and it is advantageous if you have a university education or experiences that the employer deems suitable for the position. Experience in business development and good knowledge of the local business community is also advantageous. The position requires excellent oral and written skills in Swedish as well as a B driver's license.
