We are looking for operations managers for public transport.

On June 1, 2025, the Public Transport Administration transitioned to a completely new organization. Do you want to help ensure that our public transport and service traffic run smoothly every day? We are now looking for committed and responsible operations managers who want to take overall responsibility for traffic monitoring and operations planning. The operations managers handle the daily operations of all public transport in Dalarna. You who apply should be a person who embodies Region Dalarna's values of "Openness, Respect, and Responsibility".

The work is based in Borlänge and the working hours are days, evenings, and weekends. The advertisement refers to two temporary positions.

Your responsibilities:

• Monitor and control traffic for public transport and service traffic in real-time
• Handle and resolve disruptions quickly and efficiently
• Communicate professionally with drivers, traffic managers, and other involved parties
• Ensure that traffic flows according to the schedule and planned trips and maintain a high service level for passengers
• Report and document operational disruptions and actions taken
• Contribute to improvements in traffic systems and routines

We are looking for you who:

• have experience in traffic management or a similar role within public transport or transportation.
• are stress-resistant and can make quick decisions in pressured situations.
• have good communication skills and enjoy collaborating with many different people.
• are solution-oriented and proactive.
• have good local knowledge of Dalarna.

Requirements for the position:

• At least a high school education, preferably with a focus on transportation or another equivalent education that the employer finds equivalent
• Previous experience in traffic management or equivalent tasks
• Very good computer skills
• Good telephone skills
• Can communicate very well in Swedish both orally and in writing
• Can communicate well in English both orally and in writing

Meritorious for the position:

• University education in transportation, logistics, or equivalent education
