Do you want to take on a clear leadership role at the center of a major digital transformation journey? We are now looking for a senior interim Manager who wants to lead a team responsible for the management and development of business-critical IT systems at one of Sweden's larger players in energy and infrastructure.

This is a consulting assignment with the client through us.

Your role

As an interim Manager, you will play a key role in the client's ongoing digital transformation journey. You will lead a team of approximately 15 employees who own, drive, and manage the organization's central IT systems. The role is both strategic and operational – you create direction, stability, and engagement in a situation with a high pace of change and many ongoing projects.

You will work closely with both the business and IT and be an important link between business, processes, system management, and external suppliers.

Your responsibilities

In the assignment, you will among other things:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team responsible for the management, operation, and further development of business-critical IT systems.

  • Create clarity around roles, responsibilities, working methods, and priorities in a complex organizational landscape.

  • Drive change management – take the group from a current way of working to a new, more efficient, and sustainable way of working.

  • Ensure stable and quality-assured delivery, even in an environment with a high pace of change and many initiatives.

  • Be the main contact for the business regarding the services and systems for which the group is responsible.

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers of IT solutions and IT services.

  • Develop and anchor a clear vision for the group and its mission, as well as handle challenges in a constructive and inclusive manner.

  • Participate in the department's management team and contribute to the whole, both strategically and operationally.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

  • Documented leadership experience, preferably from roles where you have led teams through change and new working methods.

  • Many years of experience leading in larger and complex organizations with multiple stakeholders and interfaces.

  • Experience in IT system management, preferably of business-critical systems in a larger organization.

  • Good understanding of how digital solutions and systems can create value for the business.

  • Ability to combine strategic thinking with operational presence in everyday life.

  • Very good communication skills, both verbally and in writing, in Swedish and English.

  • Understanding of economics – costs, revenues, and efficiency – related to systems, resources, and deliveries.

As a leader, you are:

  • Structured, present, and attentive – you see and strengthen each individual.

  • Clear, confident, and communicative – you build trust even in uncertain situations.

  • Results-oriented, yet unpretentious and relationship-building.

  • Proactive in developing both people, working methods, and collaborations.

Desirable experiences

It is especially meritorious if you have:

  • Experience with systems such as SAP, GIS, measurement, or invoicing.

  • Experience leading teams working with business-critical solutions in energy, infrastructure, or similar industries.

  • Experience working closely with both IT and the business side in a role where IT is seen as an enabler.

  • Experience establishing or improving structures, processes, and governance models within system management.

Location

The assignment is located with the client in the Stockholm area, with the possibility of some hybrid work according to agreement with the client.

Timeline and scope

  • Start: January 19, 2026

  • Scope: Full-time, 40 hours per week

  • Estimated end date: January 31, 2027

  • Form: Consulting assignment through us with the client
