We are now looking for a Software Team Leader

Description You will lead one of the teams working on the development of the Gripen system, which is one of the world's most advanced fighter jets. Primarily, you will work on further development, management, and refactoring of presentation and registration systems in Gripen C/D.

Your role as a team leader with us means coordinating and leading a (or potentially two) teams of software developers/testers who work with individual software components as well as the overall system and its place in the aircraft. The work processes currently used within the teams are in varying degrees of need for modernization towards a more agile approach.

The assignment primarily involves: • Planning, following up, and communicating team work • Coordinating the team's development plan with external stakeholders • In collaboration with the nearest manager and the teams, continue to develop the work methods further towards the agile direction. We currently have a hybrid/mixture that includes elements of Scrum/Kanban • Coaching the team in its agile journey as a team and as individuals

Additional tasks may, as time and competence allow, include participating in the team's tasks, for example: • Further development and adaptation of testing frameworks • Code review • Optimization and further development of design • Requirements analysis • Porting, verification, and documentation of software functions in connection with changing software platforms (RTOS and drivers) • Integration and functional testing on the target platform in labs, simulators, and rigs

Your profile We are looking for someone who has a passion and ability to create high-performing teams (teams that invent and develop high-quality software solutions quickly and efficiently in an inclusive and pleasant way). You are goal-oriented and have an agile mindset. You enjoy taking on new challenges and have an analytical streak. We value that you are productive, structured, and quality-conscious in your work approach. You have very good social skills and can work both independently and in a group.

Requirements • Experience with agile development methodologies, e.g., Scrum • Experience in team leadership of teams working within one or more of: development, testing, and optimization of embedded software systems • Experience working in mixed computing environments (Linux, Unix, Windows)

Meritorious • Experience with agile transformation, e.g., implementing Scrum (from “waterfall”) • Experience in project management in some form/scale • Knowledge of/interest in: • Embedded Linux • How an RTOS works • OpenGL / OpenGL ES / image processing / video streaming • Scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) • DevOps • Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.) • Experience with Pascal or ADA • Experience with safety-critical standards (aerospace, automotive, medical)

As the client is an international company with collaboration both within and outside the country, the position requires good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form.
