Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a primary school teacher for Karl Johansskolan and our competent team with a teaching qualification to teach grades F-3 on a temporary assignment. In your teaching role with us, you will systematically plan, implement, and evaluate your teaching. This, along with ongoing assessment of students' acquired knowledge, forms the basis for your continued planning moving forward.

Planning and assessment of teaching is primarily done together with your colleagues, with the main purpose of ensuring that our students receive an equitable education. You will therefore have dedicated time set aside for this purpose with your colleagues. Your teaching is modern and creative; you strive for an enjoyable and varied learning experience and aim to reach and find strategies to empower your students, both academically and in their personal development. Furthermore, you actively participate in the school's systematic development work. In this development work, we work together to establish and maintain a good learning and working environment for students and staff at our school.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a licensed primary school teacher with qualifications to teach grades F-3 in all theoretical subjects. You have experience of successful teaching with a focus on early reading and writing development as well as mathematics learning. You are creative and can adapt your approach and your pedagogical methods and techniques based on the individual student's needs and the needs of the student group. You have a good understanding of and knowledge about the school's governing documents and can effectively use them in your daily work.

Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills and can therefore lead and organize your work to create a conducive study environment and a good equitable learning environment for our students throughout their school day. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work and with good knowledge and experience, you work effectively with relevant digital tools. Of course, you have a professional approach and work towards good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.

You are a person who is at the forefront, a good role model for your colleagues who dares to take initiative and strives forward. You have the ability to lift your gaze from the classroom and see the overarching perspective of the entire operation. Furthermore, you are flexible, self-driven, and methodical in your working style, and with your low-affect approach, you find strategies to reach each student and contribute to increased goal fulfillment. Karl Johansskolan works with cooperative learning, and it is a great advantage if you have competence in this area.

About the Workplace

Karl Johansskolan is a F-3 school, one of Malmö's oldest and smallest schools, which is part of the Linnéskolan principal area, with about 220 students. The school is centrally located in Limhamn. We work to ensure that all students have the right to develop according to their abilities, to acquire knowledge in a calm and safe environment, and to be treated with respect.
