Workplace Description

The position is located at the Neuronano Research Center (NRC), Department of Experimental Medical Science, Faculty of Medicine at Lund University.

NRC is an interdisciplinary center that works with the connection between nerve cells and electronics.

Currently, we have 18 employees connected to NRC as well as collaborators within and outside Sweden. NRC is primarily located at Medicon Village in Lund.

We place great importance on the work environment, both physical and mental, through work with safety representatives and frequent meetings within the group.

Job Responsibilities and Areas of Responsibility

NRC's development projects have now reached the stage where we are preparing for clinical trials of electrodes for brain stimulation (Deep Brain Stimulation, DBS). This requires expertise regarding regulations for medical devices, including biological safety and ethical considerations. In the role of expert, you are expected to compile the documentation required for authorities.

The position requires extensive experience with relevant standards and documentation requirements as well as experience in biological risk analysis.

Qualifications

Requirements for the position are:

  • Extensive expertise regarding regulations for medical devices.
  • Extensive expertise in biological safety and ethical considerations.
  • Significant experience in compiling the documentation required for authorities.
  • The position also requires extensive experience with relevant standards and documentation requirements.
  • The position also requires extensive experience in biological risk analysis.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Swedish and English.

Desirable qualifications for the position are:

  • Experience working in interdisciplinary environments.

Consideration will also be given to the applicant's personal qualities such as collaboration skills.

Other

The position is a special fixed-term employment at 5% as an expert for one year with a desired start date of 2026-01-01 or by agreement.
