Job responsibilities

In the school's most beautiful room, our resource team works to support students individually and in smaller groups. Here, students can start their day and then continue with support into the larger context; students can receive help with challenging tasks, have the opportunity to work in smaller settings, or perhaps take breaks and recess there. Some students have all their lessons there while others have a few lessons a week.

The resource team consists of a support educator and a teacher. The team collaborates closely with the students' mentors and the school's special education team.

As the resource team's teacher is moving on to another assignment, we are looking for a new teacher for the team. The foundation of the role is teaching, meeting, and finding the right conditions for each individual student. The foundation for this is relationship-building. The role is challenging; no day is the same, and you as a teacher need to enjoy thinking outside the box and quickly adapting to find solutions and pathways to the student.

Qualifications

You are a certified teacher with qualifications in theoretical subjects (primarily core subjects) for earlier ages.

You have a big heart and curiosity about the students and their learning. Your view of students is inclusive, and you have the ability to see how the individual student's needs as well as the group's needs should be met. You are an engaged educator with good collaboration skills and meet each student based on individual conditions, driven by the desire to build on the students' abilities.

You want and dare to take your own initiatives. You have the will and ambition to constantly develop your teaching, especially towards an inclusive learning environment, both regarding methods and the classroom environment.

You have a flexible and solution-focused approach to work. You see relationship-building as an important path to success in school and have a genuine belief that all people can develop, both academically and socially.

It is advantageous if you have previous experience working with students with disabilities, for example, within NPF (neuropsychiatric disabilities) and/or language difficulties.
