What do we offer?

Now you have the opportunity to become our teacher in upper secondary school and teach social studies in grades 7-9.

You will have close collaboration with colleagues in your work team, but you will also collaborate with colleagues throughout the principal area. Together, we work to develop teaching for increased goal achievement for students. Based on our focus areas, we work together on leadership and stimulation, extra adjustments, and special support.

Your work will include planning, evaluation, and documentation, as well as responsibility for other tasks associated with the teaching profession.

Who are you?

We are looking for a certified teacher with qualifications to teach social studies, religion, history, and geography for students in grades 7-9. Interest or experience in developing students' participation, language skills, and study environment in the classroom is desirable.

As a person, we hope you are committed to guiding students to good results and helping them practice and develop their abilities. We see that you are clear and structured in your pedagogical work with students. You contribute to a positive collaborative climate in the workplace and are good at collaborating and building good relationships with colleagues, students, and guardians.

You are well-grounded in the school's governing documents and actively participate in pedagogical development work and collegial learning processes, creating conditions for each student's learning and development.

We expect you to have good IT skills and be able to use digital tools with students.

About us

The Department of Children and Education is responsible for the municipality's preschools, primary schools, secondary schools, adapted schools, and cultural schools. We work together for a learning environment where children, students, and employees succeed and can be their best. The department's mission is to coordinate, plan, and support the various activities and work for coordination between school and working life.

The position is located at Tyringe School, focusing on grades 7-9. This provides good opportunities for collaboration and development in exciting assignments. In the area, we will work during the school year with three focus areas: student participation, students' language skills, and safety and study environment.

Tyringe School has a fantastic location centrally placed in Tyringe with proximity to nature, which is a great asset for students' development and learning. Close to the school area, there are also Tyrehallen, Tyrshage, and Tyrs hov, a sports facility with a sports hall, swimming hall, ice rink, and bowling hall under the same roof. The school is close to the train and bus station. The principal area is a 7-9 school with about 210 students. Tyringe School also has an F-6 operation that is in its own principal area. In the catchment area, there are also two smaller schools with F-6 operations, Finja and Röke, as well as an F-3 operation in Västra Torup. Collaboration between the principal areas is of utmost importance for students' success.
