Tomelilla municipality is making significant investments in its schools, especially Kastanjeskolan. If Kastanjeskolan and its 300 students succeed - Tomelilla municipality succeeds in its mission and goal to be a school municipality to reckon with. The goal is a school where all students achieve their goals, experience high well-being, and have faith in the future. To achieve this, bold investments have begun, leadership and management are being developed, and a large and long-term collaboration with Save the Children has started. In the autumn of 2025, an MFF academy was launched focusing on offering students quality football training during school hours, benefiting both football development and academic results.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher at Kastanjeskolan, you are a positive role model for our students and a safe leader in the classroom. Your leadership maintains a well-functioning order that creates creative and safe study environments where students want to be. You have a strong commitment to your subjects and the development and well-being of your students. You are a guarantee of quality education and always prioritize the best interests of the child.

You possess good pedagogical skills and positive energy, skillfully adapting your approach and communication to the recipient. Using various strategies, you promote student participation, influence, and motivation. You excel at building good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, contributing to the work in both teams and subject groups. Most teachers act as mentors for a group of students with the support of the team's social pedagogue. Each team also has its own special educator or special teacher.

You are well-versed in the school's governing documents and work with a varied approach tailored to the needs of the students. Together with us, you want to create hope and faith in the future for our students.

The school is organized into three grade teams, each with its own special educator/special teacher and a social pedagogue.

QUALIFICATIONS

To be considered for the position, you must be a licensed teacher with a degree in Natural Science and/or Technology for grades 7-9. Additional qualifications in other subjects are advantageous.

Experience teaching at the upper secondary level is an asset.

You are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.
