Teacher in Adapted School 80%, Fridhem School

The adapted school is a smaller educational unit at Fridhem School.

Here, the staff works together with students in smaller groups, which creates a unique ability to meet each student's needs. Each educator or teaching assistant is expected to have a holistic view of the students with the aim of developing their knowledge and skills to create opportunities for a rich and meaningful life.

Job responsibilities: As a teacher in the adapted school, you are responsible for teaching subjects (Swedish, Social Studies, English, and Physical Education) and subject areas by contributing to the implementation of the curriculum's goals and intentions in the operations, and you are familiar with other governing documents. You are also responsible for planning, implementing, and documenting the educational work in the adapted school. Based on this, you should have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and allow them to participate in the design of the teaching. You contribute to the students' learning by bringing enthusiasm, energy, and joy to the work. As a teacher in special education, you should be a good role model. You are relationship-building and collaborate well with the contacts that occur in your professional role, adapted to the situation.

In the position as a teacher, you will be part of the team that together plans, implements, and evaluates the teaching in special education. As a teacher, you work closely with teaching assistants, student health, the principal, and other staff. In the practical-aesthetic subjects, we collaborate with the primary school regarding both teachers and students.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a licensed teacher for grades 4-6 or a special education teacher with a focus on developmental disabilities or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Work experience as a teacher and experience working with differentiated instruction is meritorious. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability, where collaboration and initiative are important qualities, as well as a genuine interest in children and young people.

Conditions

For the position to be permanent, it is required that a teaching license can be presented; until then, a general fixed-term employment will apply until the spring term 2025-06-18.

The position is 80% but can be increased to 100% by agreement with the applicant. If you are currently studying to become a teacher, we would like you to attach a certificate of completed courses instead. Upon employment, you are required to present a criminal record extract according to the Education Act (2010:800 2 chap 31§).

Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis. Therefore, the position may be filled before the application period has ended.
