Lapland High School is looking for a Boliden Coordinator

Lapplands Kommunalförbund is an association between the municipalities of Kiruna, Gällivare, Jokkmokk, and Pajala that collaborates in upper secondary education, adult education, energy and climate counseling, procurement, and personal representatives. The region has about 55,000 inhabitants and covers over 60,000 square kilometers. Approximately 350 employees work within the association.

Lapplands Gymnasium is the joint upper secondary organization for Gällivare, Jokkmokk, Kiruna, and Pajala. Our four schools together offer about 20 programs and have a total of around 2000 students, located in Sweden's largest and most distance-dependent region. Our school organization is situated in Sweden's largest region, where distances can be significant, but we always strive to be close and accessible to our students and staff. Far away but still close. Our vision is to offer unique and attractive education of the highest quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Boliden Coordinator at the school, you will be our extended arm towards Boliden, and your role includes being the contact person between those responsible at Boliden and the school staff in the programs. You will be a mentor, coordinator, and guide for the profile students distributed across the school's various programs, including Electrical, Industrial, Automotive, and Technology programs. You will be part of both operations. You will maintain close contact with Boliden and make regular visits to Boliden's operations. You will participate in planning APL, booking study visits, organizing safety training, and conducting training sessions and lessons for students. You will be the one who builds meetings between the school and Boliden.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is already a licensed vocational teacher or has the qualifications that the employer, in consultation with Boliden and union representatives, deems equivalent. You already have good knowledge of the programs included in the profile, possess an entrepreneurial mindset, and are resilient, structured, and clear. Familiarity with Boliden and its operations is also an advantage. We also value qualities such as a desire to develop and enhance collaboration with Boliden, as well as innovative and forward-thinking attitudes.

Your ability to create and develop relationships with students, teachers, and employees at Boliden is considered the most important quality of our new coordinator! A valid B driver's license is required for the position.
