The facility is located at Gymnasievägen 6-8 in Luleå and has a total of 9 departments, of which 6 have regular care and nursing places. The other 3 departments have care places for individuals with special care needs. These departments consist of: A special department for individuals with severe BPSD issues, a short-term department, and a department aimed at active dementia patients. As a specialist nurse assistant with us, you will primarily be placed in one of our three specialist departments, but you may also work in other departments.

The working hours are varied and suitable for those who enjoy shift work, with shifts distributed over days, evenings, and weekends according to a schedule. The start date for the position is by agreement.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The work as a specialist nurse assistant involves actively participating in daily care activities and providing support and service based on the individual needs of the residents. You will work in a team with various professional roles and also be responsible for contact with the cognitive support team to provide the resident with the best possible support based on their needs, resources, and opportunities.

As a specialist nurse assistant with us, you will work to develop care for individuals with dementia. You will focus on quality improvement, particularly within BPSD through early interventions and person-centered care. The role also includes mentoring colleagues, introducing new employees, and supporting relatives. As a specialist nurse assistant, you will serve as a resource for the entire operation. You will have the opportunity to contribute your expertise in daily work, both for larger strategic issues and smaller daily challenges.

Documentation is also an important part of the job, and you will be responsible for documenting in Combine according to social services legislation.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and a genuine interest and commitment to working with individuals who have special care needs. Furthermore, you should:

• Be a trained specialist nurse assistant with relevant specialization equivalent to 60 higher education credits or 200 vocational higher education credits
• Have relevant experience
• Have good digital skills

Experience/education in behavioral and psychological symptoms in dementia (BPSD), psychiatry, dementia care, low-arousal approaches, and documentation in Combine is an advantage.
