The facility is located at Gymnasievägen 6-8 in Luleå and has a total of 9 departments, of which 6 have regular care and nursing places. The other 3 departments have care places for individuals with special care needs. These departments consist of: A special department for individuals with severe BPSD issues, a short-term department, and a department aimed at active dementia patients.

The working hours are varied and suitable for those who enjoy shift work, with shifts distributed over days, evenings, and weekends according to a schedule. The start date for the position is negotiable.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of care assistant at our facility is varied, and you work to ensure that residents can live as dignified and independent lives as possible despite any disabilities and/or illnesses. You will work in a team with various professionals to provide the best possible support to residents based on their needs, resources, and opportunities according to PPP (Practical Professional Planning).

Performing work with quality is important to us and is something we actively work on. With the resident in focus and supported by our shared values, you will work to develop well-planned and flexible solutions tailored to individual needs. You will thus be working with personal care, mobilization and transfers, social support, and medication management.

Documentation is an important part of the job, and you are responsible for documenting in Combine according to the Social Services Act.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and a genuine interest and commitment to working with elderly people. Additionally, you have:

• Care assistant education and/or relevant experience
• Good digital competence
• Approved grades in Swedish equivalent to at least grade 9

Experience/education in behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD), psychiatry, dementia care, low-arousal approaches, and documentation in Combine is an advantage.
