We are looking for someone who wants to be part of Luleå University of Technology's vision to shape the future through innovative education and groundbreaking research and who has the competence and drive to integrate education and research in the field. We are in an expansive phase regarding both research and education.

You will be placed in the research subject of psychology, which belongs to the Department of Health, Medicine, and Rehabilitation, where education for occupational therapy and physiotherapy degrees, bachelor's programs in health guidance and psychology, as well as courses in medical science are conducted. We are about 20 employees working with research and education in the subject. Our research is conducted in several areas of psychology such as clinical psychology, developmental psychology, sports psychology, witness psychology, cognitive psychology, and technical psychology.

Subject Description

Psychology involves systematically exploring the individual's experiences, behavior, and biology, as well as their interrelationships and underlying mechanisms. The research aims to describe and understand human emotions, thoughts, and behaviors in various situations and environments.

Job Responsibilities

As a university lecturer in clinical psychology, you will teach and supervise students at both undergraduate and advanced levels. You are expected to develop and lead courses in the field and contribute to the development of the educational programs offered in the subject. Research in clinical psychology is a central part of the position, and you are expected to actively participate in and lead research projects. Furthermore, you will be involved in collaboration with the labor market and external partners, as well as contribute to the university's internal and external assignments within the subject.

The main job responsibilities include:

• teaching and supervising students at undergraduate and advanced levels primarily in clinical psychology.
• developing and leading courses in the subject area.
• conducting and leading research in clinical psychology.
• actively participating in research projects and publishing scientific articles.
• collaborating with the labor market and external partners.
• contributing to the development of psychology education and the institution's overall strategies.
• participating in administrative tasks and committee work within the institution and faculty.

Qualifications

Eligible for employment as a university lecturer is someone who:

• Has a doctoral degree or has equivalent scientific competence or has other professional skills that are significant in relation to the position
• Has demonstrated pedagogical skill through reflective experience, teaching ability, and teaching development
• Has completed higher education pedagogical training equivalent to 7.5 credits or has acquired equivalent knowledge in another way

• License as a psychologist and experience of clinical work
• Experience working with gaming issues
• Ability to teach in Swedish and/or English
• Ability to collaborate with the surrounding community and the ability to inform about research and development work

The position is a permanent full-time employment with the location in Luleå. Start date according to agreement.
