Your Responsibilities

We are currently looking for someone in the Electronic Warfare function who wants to make a difference for our collective security by contributing to today's and tomorrow's combat aircraft. You will work with Electronic Warfare systems (EW systems) whose main purpose is to detect and manage threats, such as radar warning receivers used to detect and classify radar, as well as electronic jamming against enemy radar and incoming missiles.

As a systems engineer at Saab, you will have the opportunity to participate in the entire development chain, from requirements gathering with customers and pilots to design and implementation. You will work on developing subsystems that enhance the aircraft's tactical capabilities and collaborate closely with adjacent teams. Software development is done agilely in Scrum teams, and you will also participate in concept studies for future EW systems. An important part of the role is to train and coach junior employees, as well as to test and validate functions in simulators and rigs to ensure that the systems work in real missions.

Your Profile

We are looking for an experienced systems engineer in Electronic Warfare. We are looking for both those who enjoy working with systems development and those who prefer pure software development with modern tools (such as CLion, git, and third-party software). You have good knowledge of modern C++ or Pascal, but knowledge of other programming languages and tools is a merit. You can also communicate fluently in Swedish and English.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, require certain citizenship.
