About Unika 

Unika LSS Omsorg operates 6 group homes and 2 service apartments in the Northern inner city on behalf of Stockholm City. The residences have 4-6 and 12-14 places and are aimed at adults with functional variations with varying support needs. 

About the role of Support Assistant

As a support assistant, you will work to provide individually tailored support to people with functional variations, with the goal of promoting their independence and well-being in everyday life. You will support users in their daily routines and activities, based on their needs and abilities, always using their personal implementation plan as a starting point.

We work with a salutogenic and pedagogical approach, where we start from each individual's unique strengths and resources. The goal is for users to achieve as much independence as possible and to live a meaningful life with high quality of life. As a support assistant, you will work based on clarifying pedagogy and low-arousal responses to create security and predictability in users' everyday lives. At the same time, we have a strong focus on working professionally and efficiently within the resources and budget of the organization.

Qualifications

    • Very good command of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
    • Good computer skills, experience with documentation.
    • Experience in care and support work.
    • High school education such as child and leisure program, care and support program, or post-secondary education such as support pedagogue, social pedagogue, or university education in a relevant field.

It is an advantage if you also have

  • Experience in psychiatry, AAC, and low-arousal responses.
  • Experience working with complex support needs.

Employment conditions

Employment type: SÄVA Working hours: Varied working hours, day/evening/night/weekend Start date: By agreement, we look positively upon candidates who can start shortly. Collective agreement: We are bound by collective agreements with Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Branch E.

About the recruitment process

Before any employment, a criminal record extract along with valid photo identification must be presented. If you are called for an interview, you need to be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EES or a valid work permit.
