Residence Coordinator and Security Driver

The County Administrative Board is the government's representative in the county and coordinates regional development work. The position is located in the unit for operational support and is part of the function for the county management's office, which is responsible for supporting the governor and county council (county management) in their internal and external missions.

Halmstad Castle was built in the 17th century, and since the 18th century, the governor has had their residence in the castle, which also houses offices for the County Administrative Board. The building has been a state heritage site since 1935.

Job Responsibilities

The position is divided into two roles, both of which are equally important and require flexibility from you to perform the tasks.

As a residence coordinator, you will be responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of the representative apartment and ensure that the premises are kept nice and representative. You will work with planning, logistics, and execution of events and other gatherings. This requires discretion and integrity as some visits are so-called high-risk visits. High-risk visits include visits from the royal court, government officials, ambassadors, or similar. Daily tasks may involve lifting (preparing the venue, setting the table, handling goods), so it is important that you are in good physical shape.

As a security driver, you will plan and carry out drives for the governor and official guests. Planning is done in close collaboration with the governor and the team in the function. Since the County Administrative Board represents the entire county, the trips are mainly conducted within the county. As a security driver, you are responsible for ensuring that the trips are carried out safely, smoothly, and comfortably, as well as for the care and maintenance of the County Administrative Board's official vehicle.

The tasks in both roles will be carried out in close collaboration with the team in the function and will also involve many contacts outside the County Administrative Board. Working hours are irregular as evening and weekend work may occur. Working hours are regulated through trust-based working hours.

The work is varied and multifaceted and may change over time. You will also participate in the function's other work, such as preparing materials, writing documents, planning, and executing various types of meetings.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• High school education
• Experience in planning, executing, and coordinating visits, events, travel, or similar tasks
• Driver's license (B)
• Skilled driver with a focus on safety
• Experience working with common Office programs and a good ability to plan and administer
• Good knowledge of Swedish and the ability to speak and understand English, as there may occasionally be international guests.

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience in planning, executing, and participating in high-risk visits
• Security training for drivers

Personal Qualities

As a person, you are stable and can handle changing situations, sometimes under time pressure. You have great integrity, are secure, and see it as a given to always meet people in a respectful manner. You are proactive and have a genuine sense of service and the ability to adapt to different people's needs and circumstances. Furthermore, you are structured while also being able to work with many parallel processes. You have good planning skills with an eye for detail.
