The Technical and Property Management Department contributes to making Halmstad an attractive city to live and stay in. We develop, build, and manage the municipality's public environments such as streets, squares, parks, forests, natural areas, and municipal premises. We are also responsible for event coordination and sports and leisure activities to promote public health by collaborating with and supporting associations.
The Finance Unit currently has 13 dedicated employees who work with strategic and operational financial issues, and here you will have the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally while contributing to the development of our operations. We place great importance on responsibility, development, and that you are involved in driving both the operations and yourself forward.
The Finance Unit in the Technical and Property Management Department is also responsible for the financial issues in the Municipal Executive Office's Community Development Department, where the municipality's work with, among other things, land exploitation and detailed and comprehensive planning takes place.
JOB DESCRIPTION

As an economist with us, you will have a varied and developing job. Your tasks include accounting, financial follow-up, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as preparing annual financial statements and interim reports. You will work closely with the operations and serve as a support to managers and employees in various financial matters. This role gives you the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of an exciting and constantly evolving organization. The work also involves participating in investigations, analyzing financial information, and identifying financial connections. Here you will have the opportunity to combine independent work with teamwork.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with a university degree in finance and experience working with financial issues. You have good computer skills and are comfortable with the Office suite, especially Excel. It is also important that you can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Experience from or education in the property sector is an advantage.
As a person, you are self-sufficient, driven, and meticulous in your work. You are skilled at structuring, planning, and prioritizing between different tasks. With your analytical ability, you see patterns, connections, and relationships, and you find it easy to place details in a larger context.
You enjoy creating good relationships and are collaborative at all levels of an organization. Your communication is clear, credible, and fluent, and you feel comfortable speaking in front of and with others.
Seeing opportunities, finding solutions to challenges, and engaging others is second nature to you.
