JOB DESCRIPTION

Sjumilaskolan is a K-9 school with after-school care in a scenic location and has good connections to public transport. From autumn 2024, the school will be a K-6 school with about 400 students led by two assistant principals and one principal.

At Sjumilaskolan, we actively work towards increased goal fulfillment with a focus on developing students' language and learning. We do this through Early Years in grades K-3, which is a language-developing working method in the form of station teaching, and through Reading to Learn for students in grades 4-6 to develop students' language.

We are looking for an engaged and creative teacher for teaching textile crafts in grades 3-6. This is approximately a 60-65% position as a textile crafts teacher, with the remainder in the classroom as support. The role includes mentorship.

As a teacher with us, you will work together with your colleagues to create conditions for students' knowledge development and learning. You will be offered a varied job where you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating lessons. Together with your colleagues, you will design a good, enjoyable, and varied school day with the students' best interests in focus. The work involves close collaboration with other teachers, student health, other staff, and guardians.

Are you interested in being part of an exciting language development journey together with enthusiastic colleagues at Sjumilaskolan? Then you might be the one we are looking for!

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a teaching license and the qualifications to teach textile crafts in grades 3-6. You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents. Previous experience in the profession is an advantage, but we also welcome those who are newly graduated or at the end of their education. As a newly graduated teacher, you will be offered a place in the Primary School Administration's Teacher Academy. There, you will have the opportunity to build a network with other newly graduated teachers and participate in tailored activities that support you during your first year as a teacher.

As a teacher with us, you need to have good pedagogical skills where teaching can be adapted to students' needs.

You are clear in your communication and can reach different target groups in various situations. To motivate, inspire, and challenge students, your ability to both show warmth and set boundaries is needed. We also see that you have a strong ability to collaborate and build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.

The position will be filled subject to it not being claimed for internal reasons.

Selection and interviews will take place continuously.

OTHER

As an employee in our administration, you will be offered, among other things, wellness grants, bicycle benefits, and employee support.

According to the Education Act, extracts from the police criminal record must be presented by individuals before they are employed in preschool activities, schools, and school-age childcare. You can order this from the Police's website.

We only accept applications via our recruitment system in accordance with GDPR.
